SAFE SITTER® BABYSITTER TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

Safe Sitter® is for 6th - 8th-grade students looking to be more independent at home and even start babysitting for siblings, friends, or other families. We’ll explore the characteristics of a good babysitter and cover caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. Students are introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses and also learn choking rescue and CPR.

This class is offered through Columbus Parks & Rec and is led by a certified instructor from Council for Youth Development. The cost is $40, and all participants receive a Safe Siiter® manual.

Class will be held from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM each day, and all classes must be attended to receive the Safe Sitter® Completion Card.
